Thank you.

I am wondering. Has anyone else had a similar situation to mine? I hadn't heard of this before. I don't have an actual tumor but instead an area of normal and abnormal tissue. The skin is also thickened there. I just never heard of this before.Patty

Thank you so much. I left my ultra sound this last week 100% convinced that I have breast cancer. Every morning when I wake up, my first thought is "I have breast cancer." Is this what everyone does?

Patty,

I did not have this but have heard of others that have. Is there any dimpling or anything in the skin? You are in my prayers.

I had to go and look. No, there is nothing like that. It looks pretty much like it always has.

Patty, I couldn't help but jump in here. First of all, I think your

assumption is generally correct that more people survive stage 3

than stage 4. But that's not the best focus. Let me gently suggest

that THIS could be your focus:

In every kind of cancer, there are spontaneous remissions. This

includes cancers that are commonly very deadly, such as advanced

melanoma skin cancers. We don't know why that happens, we just know

that it does happen.

You can talk about anything here that you need to talk about, and we

will be here for you. But focusing on negatives will take away from

your life, while focusing on positives will add to your life. We

already know that there are miracle cures in the field of oncology.

And I personally know that I believe in miracles. Therefore, I

choose to believe that focusing on those things will be to my

advantage. One of my favorite quotes from the Bible:

Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever

things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are

lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any

virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

(Philippians 4:8)

Sending you comfort, big hugs, and serenity.

Well-said Kathy - only focus on positives; don't need negatives right now.

I just wanted to add to Kathy's response that I have an aunt who had

worshipped the sun all her life. She was always brown from it. She

developed a melanoma (huge cancerous mole) on her knee, which got

into her lymph system. She lost a breast. She had chemo. Was in

remission a couple of years. It recurred. She chemo a second time.

It was terrible. She nearly died. She is now 91 and in perfect,

happy (albeit daffy) health except for alzheimers.

It gives me hope, that I, too will survive even though I have an

aggressive tumor.

Well everyone handles things differently. I working with some alternative methods of treatment also. It is not easy to make really big life style changes and I use the "facts" and the accompanying fear to push me forward and assist in healing. So we all do things a little differently. Besides, I just inheritatly like to know the full facts. I want to know what I am really up against.
