Guest guest Posted January 11, 2001 Report Share Posted January 11, 2001 hi Rhonda - prayers and hugs to -- i've had 4 screws - 2 different times. nothing escaped!!!!! at least i don't think so. killing off the tumors is worth it. wishing the best, LynnBK Subject: Surgery Scheduled for Dear Crew- We desperately need your prayers! is scheduled for outpatient surgery on Thursday, January 18th at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. This is the much dreaded surgery to place two 2 inch metal screws in the top of his head. These will be in place for 5 weeks while he has daily radiation therapy. They are there to insure accuracy since they will be irradiating 3 tumors at the same time (one on each side of the brain stem and one in the jugular fossa). is pretty scared. So are his parents!! The radiation is intended to stop the growth of these three tumors. Please pray (really hard) for these tumors to DIE and for to be perfectly fine during and after treatment and surgery.
