Hello RainbowFarm@...,

In reference to your comment:

ð I also have a little spyware program that I run like a

ð virus scan every now and then to see if any other

ð programs are spying on my computer, but I think it's

ð probably superfluous with my Zone Alarm.

Well Barb, the programs still get in, but they can't " call home " unless you

allow zonealarms to let them do so.

While we're on this subject. Someone mentioned ZoneAlarm that I have also,

and I have a cookie wall, so I can delete the cookies put on my computer by

the websites I visit. It gives me the option of keeping the ones I want

(places I shop or visit regularly and sign in) and deletes all the rest,

along with my temporary internet files, if I choose to do so. This

eliminates the cookies with which people can know who you are. I also have

a little spyware program that I run like a virus scan every now and then to

see if any other programs are spying on my computer, but I think it's

probably superfluous with my Zone Alarm.

It came with my ZoneAlarm Pro, but it's a free download by itself from

http://www.adsubtract.com/

Barb

> Barb, I have been using ZoneAlarm, from the freeware program offered by

ZDnet. The cookie wall you described sounds interesting. Is it available

as a free download or is it a licensed product? Any info you can provide

will be gratefully received, Thanks,
