Guest guest
Hang in there Lynn, we are here to help you every step of the way. I go for my 7th chemo next. I had a double mass on April 14th and I thank god for my family,GOD,friends and this site. This site and all the info on it was such a big help for me. One thing to remember which worked great for me was to have someone go to the doctor with me and take notes. Then when I got home I would reread the notes. It made more since to me after I calmed down because it was so much to take in. I did a lot of question asking too, thanks to things people have said on this site. My doctor was glad to answer everything I through at him. He even told me how long it was going to take for my hair to fall out. He had it down to the the day...by day 17 for me. What ever you do don't give up the fight! > Well, after having a really good week, the bubble burst today. Time > for my one day pity-party again. Guest guest
My heart goes out to you sister dear, prayers and hugs coming your way.... Carol Bad day today Well, after having a really good week, the bubble burst today. Time for my one day pity-party again. I went to UMass to the comprehensive breast cancer center today. I met with the director, the radiation oncologist, the chemo oncologist and a psychologist. Their concensus is that I should have a mast right away, followed by chemo then radiation. I guess it's a pretty aggressive cancer and there was some skin involvement. Also two out of 13 nodes were involved, although there is a lump under my arm now, so there must be more involvement there. The original lump was 2.1 cm. There are still some suspicious areas in the mammogram, so the next available appt for surgery is mine. Not what I wanted to hear. But, I shall go on.
