Hello all. Can anyone share information on the kind(s) of gait boots

they have for monitoring patient weight bearing? I used one where I

worked about 11 years ago, but have not seen one since. Any

information would help. Thanks.

We use the PedAlert system which I believe was purchased through Sammons

Preston. It straps on to the bottom of the shoe and fits around the foot and

you can preset it to whatever weight you want. It can be somewhat frustrating

and annoying to the patient who cannot maintain the weight bearing status

(because it will beep with every step). It has been especially helpful with

those " 25% WB " or " 50% WB " patients.
