Guest guest
Oh, you're just so smart....lol Actually, it is impressive and a good example that you have researched so well. We all need to continue to evaluate if where we are and our living conditions are best for us at each stage. I thought a year or so ago about moving two to three hours to the east but didn't largely due to medical care. Now, with IPF, I'm even happier I didn't. The one area I had found was like paradise in so many ways, so peaceful, beautiful smaller homes that were like mountain chalets, controlled access, nice community features. However, the nearest doctors of any number were an hour away. The nearest hospital, the same. They did have a helicopter pad near by so if you needed medical attention they would fly you. Talked to a couple living there who loved it, but they were selling and moving back to Dallas because the need for medical care had just become too important for them. Simplification also is important. Everyone should move once in their lives to Midtown Manhattan, NYC. When you realize the cost of space, you downsize. Ultimately you realize you get along just fine. It serves you well later. Last we spend our money on new priorities. Now a generator is more important than something else we might have liked. Things to enhance our ability to enjoy our homes on those days we don't feel like getting out and about become crucial. Conveniences. Shower seats or walk in tubs. Carts for groceries. Stools for the kitchen. Bags for our oxygen. For me it was a treadmill, so I could exercise easily in my apartment with oxygen as opposed to the exercise facility. > > > > > > > > , > > > > Congratulations working girl!! Guest guest
ville was a small town then. Now, its a concrete jungle. At rush hour its a huge slowly moving parking lot. The air might have been clean then. Now its code orange or red most of the summer. > > > > > > > > > > > > , > > > > > > Congratulations working girl!! Guest guest
, My husband Mike and I are selling ourlarge two story French colonial w/ basement to move into a ranch style house so that our lives can be better without having to budget in the stair climbing into our days!!!The moving process is so stressful but we are both looking forward to our next home. It's a condo development..no more finding people to mow, shovel, do trash, plow!!!! The inside the garden walls are mine...but not the major landscaping areas!!!! I can plant in pots and in areas that are accessable !!!!Horray!!! It's amazing how much stuff accumulates in 31 years of raising 3 kids !!!!!! Having a basement is a mixed blessing...the kids junk and messes could be hidden from company...but it becomes a space as time goes on that just is there with the stuff that no one could make decisions about!!! You know..." put it down in the basement"!!! Well, that basement has to be cleaned out...kids are taking their stuff each time they visit..we hope to be out of here by the end of January Tomorrow is another bassement day...I drag the O2 tubing down the steps ( 75ft) put the liquid O2 valve at 3.5 lpm , wear a mask and gloves and just work at one area each day.FUN!!!. Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA and "mild" PH 10/07 and Reynaud's too! Guest guest
, My husband Mike and I are selling ourlarge two story French colonial w/ basement to move into a ranch style house so that our lives can be better without having to budget in the stair climbing into our days!!!The moving process is so stressful but we are both looking forward to our next home. Guest guest
I love it.....yes, my old attic theory is that if you can put it up in the attic you don't need it anyway. Basements are a little different but not much. Oh and I can top you on planting. I plant artificial (ok, fake, if you insist) flowers in pots and planters. I get lots of compliments over how mine are always in season. In fact, need to replace the summer this week with my fall planting. A little behind due to VATS. Lets see, pull sticks out of styrofoam, stick new sticks in. I can handle that. Never yet had one die. > > > > > > > > > > > > , > > > > > > Congratulations working girl!! Guest guest
You can get dirty with them....lol. Use some sort of small dirty pebbles to weight them down and cover the styrofoam with spanish moss on top or even soil if you prefer. You'll be dirty. Amazing that I can even bring them indoors too and don't affect my hay fever. I had a friend who bought a new house and used fake flowers in front. Her neighbor was quite upset when Jodi won yard of the month for the neighborhood. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > , > > > > > > > > Congratulations working girl!!
Guest guest
, Great idea. Seen it before and I didn't know the difference. My doc told me get all house plants out of the house and keep my hands out of the soil. Too many mold spores and bacteria. So, I beg others into doing it. Think next year I'll go plastic, too.
