Guest guest
I've not posted instructions.. I have a pattern that I use for the making up the pill cups in the boxes.. each little compartment comes out so that you can tip the dose into your mouth... and a patter for the insert that the pill cups are in... and another pattern for the box itself..... the ones that are decorated with the flowers/humming birds and the dragon flies.. that is just Kleenex boxes.. I used all purpose glue to glue the picture to the surface.. then trimmed to fit.... the newest ones, I finally got good enough so that the tab closes the box and holds it tight enough to not need a rubber band... If you think you might want to make some.. I can send you the little bitty cad program that I designed them with.. and the pattern.. It then prints it to the proper size. You then cut them out (the solids lines) and fold them on the dashed lines, then secure with tape. And then I can send the dimensions for the stiff cardboard.. so that you can cut an measure them. Just all purpose glue and scotch tape.... You do need stiff card board for the boxes... I used the boards that come with dress shirts for some.. and the stiff boards that come with calendars, to keep them from bending while shipping/handling for the others... The pill cups are made with printer paper and tape... double walled and pretty sturdy.. the first ones that I made I did five years ago.. and they are still doing the job... I have two sizes of the 'daily' boxes... One that fits in a shirt pocket and a larger one... the shirt pocket size doesn't fit large tabs.. it's pretty much for small stuff or split stuff to get them to fit in the itty bitty cups... Imagine a half height finger sized (not thumb sized) Thimble.. that's a close comparison. oh no.. I got to rambling!!!! eeeek.... hehehehehe One last comment.. anyone that wants some but aren't really nimble fingered... if you can send the stiff cardboard and whatever print you want on your boxes.. and a few bucks to ship the boxes back (it would be for a package a bit heavier that what you are sending me cause of the weight of the pill cups and the glue.. but shouldn't be much more... I'll make them for you.... Making the boxes is time consuming.. but good TV 'keep my fingers busy' activity. Guest guest
There are photos in the Photo section off the group home page.... Its in the folder that is labeled Topper... something.... I forget just now.... I'll have time to upload the cad program to the files area of the group site when the folks leave in an hour and I can hog the phone... it's small enough to fit on a floppy... 1.2 meg or something.. but I have dial up so it takes a while... it's an open ended shareware that is no longer being made that I've been using since '96 or so.. great little program runs it win 9x and XP that I know for sure.. never tried it on an ME... then I can upload the pattern file. The smaller figure to the right is a single pill cup.... the two larger figures on the left is what would be printed on a single 8 1/2 X 11 paper to make 6 pill cups. The solid lines are cut... the dashed lines are folded... it's a little tricky to do.. but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to do.... With the cad program you can change the view to make larger pill cups if you want...
