Jorjana, According to my " Netzer " book, an 8oz glass of orange juice has between 24 and 35 grams of carbs (and they are relatively quick acting). This many carbs on its own can raise your blood glucose from about 100 points to 175 points. If you had a 12oz glass, then add 50% more to that. OJ is almost guaranteed to cause a severe spike in bg's. We all have been through those emotions and just know that they will pass. Getting better bg control will make you feel better about the whole situation. All of us started out knowing nothing about the disease and how to control it, so you aren't alone, even if it feels that way. Hang in there and keep asking questions. , T2 Oregon
