But you're right... How many of us do just that? I'll eat this now... it's gonna taste soooo good.. and deal with it later. After all, I take my vitamins every morning.....

I'm amazed at the way my cravings for sweets has decreased. And what I make here is FAR more tasty then the hostess products and the chips and such that I used to inhale all the time. My chocolate rum truffle tort is to DIE for it's so awesome.. but I'm VERY happy on just a small slice of it and dont' go reaching for the whole cake.... Even severely hypo I used to shove food in.... I remember doing a box of entenman's donuts in one sitting... the thought of doing that now is repulsive.. In fact.. given a choice between a box of those donuts or Dunkin Donuts or any other brand. And two hours in the kitchen to whip up some confection of my own AND cleaning up the dishes and such.... I'd pass on the box and make my own... and freeze 90% of it to be snacking on as I choose for the next 2 or 3 months.....

So... is it that I've 'learned' the be healthy or that I'm healthy because I'm weaned off the commercial products? Interesting question... to me....

Interesting and worth considering... but personally I think most of us don't NEED anyone adding junk to our food to get us addicted... we do it ourselves and then want someone to blame. <G> But I DO think "the American way" is to a large extent pig out on whatever we want then expect to pop a vitamin and be fit and trim. <G>NOTE: I am FAR from being fit and trim so not speaking critically of anyone except myself. <G>Sue

LOL topper, so true! I also find that when I am eating healthy and exercising, etc., I end up being SO much more content. AND it really only takes me 20 mins or so max to fix a nice meal... with my Foreman grill, microwave, steamer, etc. And when I don't EAT junk I don't WANT it! But soooooo easy to get right back into the old habits! I've been "bad" while off work... but tomorrow I go back and plan to really hit it again.Sue
