After my divorce I was staying with friends and their 16 year old foster son and I were the only two home. He wanted me to come listen to the engine of his car that he'd been working so hard on. He put the hood up, we were standing in front of the car. He walked around, got in and went to start it....right at that second I stepped away from the front of the car, off to the side. The car had no neutral safety switch (didn't even know there was such a thing until then) and the car ran down the back wall of the garage. My mom and dad were on their way to Rochester, MN to the Mayo Clinic for surgery on my mom's kidneys. She's diabetic and in Albert Lea, MN my Mom lost consciousness. Now, not to dis my parents or anything, but they are small town people and haven't been out of town much, lol. I totally believe that God's angel drove my dad's van to the hospital. I KNOW that with his unconcious wife in the van that there was no way he had the ability to find that hospital. I also had a near miss with a train, the crossing lights never lit up...I had all three of my kids in the vehicle with me...if I had been driving a few mph slower or if the train was going a little faster I wouldn't be here writing this. The lawyer wants to let the harassment continue so if we ever get to court we can show the judge all he's doing....my DH thinks I should just " relax " whatever. My parents think that hiding the truth of what he's doing is the answer...so I don't get more upset. I've never believed in hiding one's head in the sand.... As for your question, sometimes I do. I couldn't sleep at all last night, I prayed over and over for Him to just take the burden so I could sleep for a few hours...nothing. I had to tell him I didn't know because we haven't seen or heard from him in over a year. Oh well...it's their loss.
