Thank you so much for your message. When I read it, I felt like a big weight was lifted off my soldiers. The doctor's lack of communication left me in such a tailspin and you have given me a lot of comfort. How are you feeling since your surgery?

The last few days I've been trying to 'digest' everything; what the doctor said, what I'm learning from this group and which direction I need to go in now. I'm not feeling as panicked as I did initially, but I remain scared and confused.

I am so thrilled by and appreciative of all the responses I've gotten from the group. I am trying to catch up with my responses to everyone now. Thanks again. I will read and post and hopefully start to figure things out more.

Beth, Please don't worry hon! Many of us have been through all that youdescribe even the tests! I had a total of 3 ultrasounds and one thryoiduptake scan. They only give you two small pills and run a small scanner overyour thyroid. Then you come back in a few hours and they run the scanneragain. And you lay on a table while a machine goes around you. This willtell them if you have any "hot" or "cold" nodules. Also it gives them abetter picture of your thryoid. My thyroid was very large and I had tons ofnodules especially a prominant one on my left lobe. The ones on my rightlobe are all small. So three weeks ago I have my left lobe along with agolfball size nodule removed. I still have my right lobe but they willcontinue to monitor it.
