No... I was referred to the surgeon by my primary care physician so I plan to make an appointment with her... ALL my test results and records were faxed to her as well. But no I did not know that TSH and actual thyroid hormones were not the same thing... good to know... thanks!! :) Sue

That's why we put it up on the site... along with the self monitor stuff... easy to find without having to dig through former posts or waiting for someone to list it again....

Thanks... maybe this will help, as I have seen posts here explaining

WHY the other tests are necessary but finding them again will be a

nightmare. I am hoping someone will explain concisely -- and this

time I will print it out -- WHY I need the other tests so I can

explain it when I see my doctor.

It's a whole lot easier to make your point if you understand that point yourself... remember, if there is every anything that you're ever unsure about just give a holler.... someone should be able to help.... and at the doc's, dont' panic if he's saying stuff that you don't understand fully... just scribble it down and we'll help you make sense of it after....

Right! And right now I don't and I have made the mistake of not

writing stuff down as I go. So I am going to start making notes of

questions to ask AND info to have so I come across as informed

rather than belligerent. <G>

If you go to about.com and look at the news archive you should be

able to find the things from Dr Lowe. He goes into great detail about

why you need the frees tested and why Armour isn't as bad as what Drs

say.
