Guest guest
Hello, Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms too? My neck (in the front below adams apple, and on the side) has been swollen for over a month now. I still have not been diagnosed but think I have Hypothyroid. Thyroid Blood test was a little high which meant my Thyroid was a little low. Ultra sound showed that my Thyroid was normal. Lately, spider veins suddenly have appeared on my upper chest. Also, I now have a rash on my neck and face. Wish I knew what was going on. -Angel
Guest guest
You can do a couple of simple tests to see if you have low adrenal. If you have a blood pressure cuff, take your blood pressure lying down and then stand up and take it again. If it drops any when you stand, that is a sign that you may have low adrenal. The adrenals control capilary strength, especially in the lower extremities and this is how the body controls blood pressure keeping it high enough in the upper part of the body to assure adequate oxygen to the brain. So, when adrenal is low and you stand, blood will tend to pool in the lower extremities and in the trunk of the body because the small capilaries cannot constrict enough. Another test is to shine a bright light in your eyes for about a minute and look at your pupils. They should constrict to a tiny circle and stay constricted for as long as the light is there. If you have low adrenal, your pupil might constrict for a short while and then open back up or it may sort of flutter in an attempt to stay constricted. This, again has to do with adrenal hormone's action on controlling the constriction of small capilaries and by that it controls blood pressure. There are many other symptoms of low adrenal. To find out about them, just do a Google search on the terms " adrenal fatigue " or get the book " Adrenal Fatigue: the 21st Century Syndrome " It has a good test in the front that will help you find out if you have low adrenal and how bad it is. Most libraries probably have this book. It's been out a while. I also get spidery little veins in my feet and ankles. This is also a sign of low adrenal, since the adrenals play a role in capilary strength and integrity. If you have low adrenal, consider low dose hydrocortisone treatment or using 4 to 8 IsoCort tablets a day or taking licorice root tea 4 times a day. This will help thyroid work better and perhaps make you feel better. Tish > How do you find out about low adrenal? What are the symptoms?
