Lori, the medical dictionary simply says that these are just swellings

behind the knee which are more obvious when leg is extended. They

spontaneously resolve.

Can I suggest that the crew polls for other curious potential side affects

of having NF2.

Currently, research is trying to understand how an absence or mutated

version of Merlin affects al the other cells in the body. We could help

them here.....

So anything that seems unusual might provide a clue.....
