Guest guest
Cheryl: I too suffered from insomnia for years and now I think I know what caused it. Hormone imbalance due to perimenopause. I found this out after getting an injection of provera. After I got the shot I noticed that I was now going to sleep shortly after hitting the sack. I put the two together and realized why I wasn't sleeping. Now, whenever my shots start to wear off I start getting anxiety attacts and have trouble sleeping, then I know it's time to go get another shot! > uterinefibroids-unsubscribe > > > >
Guest guest
I have been experiencing the same problem-chronic insomnia for about 9 years. My husband and I decided that it was best for me to sleep in the extra bedroom since, I interrupted his sleep with my tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep. I have perpetual dark circles around my eyes. I have been trying to figure out if it is stress, or getting up to go to the bathroom three times during the night due to fibroids pressing on my bladder or if it is perimenopause. No answers yet though. Still sleep deprived and miserable, nasty, irritable and sometimes unreasonable. Would love to hear what others have to say. Several people have mentioned perimenopause. I have resorted to sleeping pills which I hate, but felt on the verge of a breakdown. Guest guest
, Provera. I'll have to look that up. How did you convince your doctor to give you provera. They say my FSH is high and consistent with menopause, so I guess I am going through menopause. Are prolonged periods a symptom of menopause. My periods often last one month now. No one seems to know what is going on. My uterine biopsy is normal as is my pap smear. Acupuncture is the only thing that stops the bleeding. Acupuncturist thinks they should figure out why I am bleeding. So far, the doctors still scratch their heads and haven't given me an answer. cheryl Re: Insomnia and hormone connection > Cheryl: > I too suffered from insomnia for years and now I think I know what caused > it.
