Guest guest
, I would love to know what develops with the testing for cortical deafness. This is not a term I am familiar with (unless it is another term for auditory processing disorder). Kendra is affected by cortical vision impairment and these topics really fascinate me. My impression is that they are conditions that can be responsive to treatments. If you don't mind, please let us know what the testing shows and any suggested treatments. Thank you, Mom to Kendra, and Camille > was originally diagnosed with CHARGE syndrome but later we found out >that he had another genetic anomaly so the CHARGE got put on the back >burner. But it was because of the CHARGE diagnosis that we were alerted to > >His developmental pediatrician who specialises in children with a hearing >loss also feels that the ACC is having a huge impact on his hearing. We are >about to do some (largely experimental in children) cortical deafness >testing to see if we can " see " what we think is happening.
