Guest guest
RT3 0.42 (0.14-0.54) FT3 4.63 (2.8-6.5) To get the ratio, you divide FT3 4.63 bu RT3 .42 equals 11.02 this is NOT OK you have RT3 dominance as it needs to be 20 or higher. this may be at least part of the reason for your adrenal stress. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Thanks Val, Strangely, temps are almost normal 36.85 ish, which I don't understand.. could too much HC cause this by using more thyroid than is normal? And wouldn't this explain the high RT3 too? I know I keep going on about me having high cortisol and I know everyone thinks that Im low if anything. So here are some reasons why I think it's high: - RT3 is high - high temps than thyroid tests indicate (should be lower given low thyroid)..due to increase uptake? - sodium gone way down (from 143 to 136) since increase HC from 25mg to 35mg (I am thinking that this is due to ACTH suppression?) - Sudden new anxiety when I reached 30mg HC which got worse at 35mg - low TSH which can be caused by high cortisol (although I know you said Armour, and so can low cortsiol) - 2 spontaneous and colourful bruises have appeared on my lower leg Sorry to be a pain and go on about high cortisol lol. any comments/thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Jonny
Guest guest
The best thing for you to sdo is to SLOWLY lower your cortiosl. 2.5mg weekly. If you truly are HIGH in cortiosl you will have NO problems or bad symtomos from lowering it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Ok Thanks, Could high cortisol be the sole cause of the high RT3? And if so, would reducing the HC bring down the RT3? Also, would high cortisol explain why my temps are nearly normal while my thyroid results are low? Thanks Jonny
Guest guest
High cortisll I do ntothink raises temps btu low aldosterone can, also high estrogen and high progesterone expecially in a man could and these all come with low cortiosl. High AND low cortils can cause high RT3 but the fix is ALL T3 not changing cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
I answered this earlier today maybe you missed it Re: RT3 results RT3 0.42 (0.14-0.54) FT3 4.63 (2.8-6.5) To get the ratio, you divide FT3 4.63 bu RT3 .42 equals 11.02 this is NOT OK you have RT3 dominance as it needs to be 20 or higher. this may be at least part of the reason for your adrenal stress. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Hi Jonny, Yes, I am taking adrenal support. My blood test from two months ago showed that my other hormone levels were all ok - myu doctor tested oestradiol, FSH and progesterone, they were all in the normal range, but DHEAS was low end of the range. Being female, I've been told that temperatures can peak during and after ovulation, which is where I'm at right now, so I'm guessing that explains my higher temps for today (mid afternoon was 37.2 C (98.96 F). I read today that a temperature increase of half a degree can be attributed to ovulation. I feel absolutely fine today. My temps were always low before taking Armour (I was on Oroxine), and my RT3 was 504 (which I was told is very high), yet after two months on Armour my temps have all come up and I feel quite normal. Note also that my temps came up to "normal" before I started adrenal support. Strange, isn't it! Adrienne Hi Adrienne,Yes I don't understand either. Val said that high temps could also be due to low aldosterone, also high estrogen and high progesterone which can all be caused by low cortisol.A waking temp of 36.96 is high i think. Should be between 97.8 and 98.2 which is between 36.56 and 36.78.Are you taking adrenal support?ThanksJonny ..
Guest guest
Oh yes I vaugely remember reading that now. So that is prob why your temps are higher now then. Sorry, I don't really know enough to explain about why your temps are normal with high RT3. It all so complicated this hormones stuff isn't it lol thanks Jonny
