MSM CBO Politics in Andhra Pradesh

Dear all,

SURAKSHA society is registered state level Community based organization of MSM.

ts objective is to provide support and also implement activities towards MSM

collectivization and protection of their sexual health and human rights.

Suraksha society Mobilized and initiated 43 CBOs throughout Andhra Pradesh for

MSM.

We heard one of the organization got money from DFID to mobilize and registered

new CBOs in Andhra pradesh

This organization playing bad politics by establishing new CBOs in Andhra

pradesh by breaking the exist CBOs and community which all ready established two

years back through Suraksha society.

Dear Forum we are requesting you please don’t encourage such kind of activities

which can break the MSM community in Andhra pradesh. Andhra pradesh is one of

the good State, which don’t have any differences between the MSM Community.

HIV/AIDS is a big problem of the Society; we have to fight for that. We are not

suppose to play politics on that. It’s every ones responsibility. 80% of MSMs

are married in Andhra Pradesh. We have to think about their partner treatment.

Suraksha is going in that manner with all CBOs/NGOs and state lead partners of

Andhra pradesh by giving technical, intuitional support to them.

We are requesting state lead partners and international donor agencies do not

encourage such kind of activities in future.

Dear our community people of Andhra pradesh don’t encourage such people and make

our self-strong and don’t involve these kind of bad politics. HIV/AIDS

Prevention is good cause.
