Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Ref: The article Can't count the dead Am a development professional located at Goa. Iagree with this note, however some ponts raise confusion. It is true that new HIV infections are in decline and new HIV and AIDS cases are increasing, death cases also will be in rise for some years. If we probe the real cause of in a death may be low BP or heart failure. from this we cant rule out that this was caused by HIV/AIDS. it is true that people will not die of HIV/AIDS. but this is the root cause that lead to another infection and thorgh this one dies, It must be considered as AIDS death. I belive that the estimate of UNAIDS is more or less right, people who work in the field can understand that how many people go to Govt hosptials and the accuracy of govt datas.since it is the fact that the mojority affected and infected with HIV have not accesed to govt systems.
