Guest guest
Hi guys... well, I feel like double crap piles today... My throat is swollen and I can barely swallow. My nose is running and sinuses clogged so therefore I can not hear out of my right ear. I have a sore muscle in my back which affects my neck movement (coincidentally the same side Rick has been bothered with since last week... no it's not from the virus). I am tired too. I am beginning to sneeze and cough from time to time. No fever thank goodness. I boiled up chicken thighs last night and am going to start a huge pot of soup with Bok Choy, cabbage, green peppers, garlic, onions and something else.... The bad thing is that I'm craving saltines... Weird but I'm not giving in to them, don't have them here anyway. I'm hoping that this is it and I'll feel better tomorrow. I'm lightheaded so will rest all day. One neat thing is that I couldn't sleep last night so I began writing in my "Reflections of a Mother" journal. It's a beautiful book that mothers write in to give to their son or daughter when they are older. It's filled with questions like, "What was your favorite pastime as a child? What did your childhood bedroom look like and what was the view from your window? Describe a childhood memory with each of your siblings. Describe the places you lived as a child and if you liked living there or not." Just on and on... my fingers cramped but if I can see that this will be a nice thing for my kids to have when I'm not around any more. My mom has one too and I hope she fills it out for me to have (mom, it's really nice to do and once you start, it's hard to stop writing). So I guess I will get my soup started and then prepare my room like a hospital room... Mom sent a video tape of "The Yearling" so I will watch that with my kidlets later. Talk to you all soon.
