Fighting the scale

Hi all - well, I have finally discovered what all of you have been talking

about....fighting the scale! Since my knee surgery on 11/21 my weight has

gone from 310 to 316 and am I disgusted!!!! Granted, on the day of surgery I

did have tapioca pudding (ultimate comfort food for me) but other wise I have

been low carb all the way! Thanksgiving also found me LC! I think I am so

use to the scale going down-down-down or at least staying the same, that this

uncalled for 6 lb gain has really, excuse me, pissed me off!!! I am taking 1

pain pill at night (the doctor said take them all day but I HATE

drugs!).....somewhere deep inside I think that is the problem. I am also not

moving around as much...ahh, the power of exercise - limited as it was. So,

what am I going to do?? Nothing! I will continue to be LC, stop taking the

nightly pain pill and hope when I start physical therapy in 3 weeks that I

will then be able to - in the words of - Move and Groove.

I can't imagine cutting down on carbs - I am already at 20-25 per day as it

is.

Thanks for listening all.
