I had my first injection on Wednesday, January 9th. I have not had a period,

but have had some break thru bleeding. Not much, just enough to be annoying.

My dr. told me this would probably happen. I also work with a gril who was

shot and it was heavier than normal. I go for my second injection on

lupron injections monday jan 14th and i am having a myomectomy on april 4th.

have u had a period following your initial injection yet? i started 1 week

late which was unusual for me and i was so heavy i was going thru a pad

hour for 3 days, my doctor said this is normal but..... wow! have you had

any menapausal effects on your body since the lupron shot? i havent as yet

and am hoping i dont.

Yes, I have had some aching joints and muscles, I guess this is also fairly

normal for Lupron. Kind of like the headaches, it is not every day. I have

been able to manage my headaches with Excedrin Migraine, this really seems

to work for me. So far it is certainly not as bad as some had told me it

would be, but then I am still early in this. Will have to wait and see what

happens after the second dose.

i visited my doctor ..MD .....yesterday after having sharp twinges which felt

like they were inside my kidneys. she examined my back muscles and said what

was going on was definitly internal and is sending me for an xray of my

kidneys which involves having the die shot into my viens. all of of this and

a myomectomy scheduled for march 28th. i originally went to see my MD

thinking that the one lupron injection ive had so far had caused a reaction

in my kidneys. my MD was great, we went into her personal office and sat at

her pc and looked up side effects to lupron and there was nothing there about

kidneys. has anyone else had an effect on their kidneys after a dose of

lupron.? my doctor assured me this has no connection to the fibroid issure

going on in my body. my obgyn has me on 1200 mg of calcium with 500 mg of D

and my MD says this wouldnt cause anything to go wrong with my kidneys

either. so im waiting now for more tests and more results ......its a way

of life .....eh girls?

Anne, Thanks I know my doctor at that time even told me the headaches was
