STI Specialist For A Leading International Public Health Organization

Population Services International is a leading nonprofit public health

organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. PSI harnesses the vitality of the

private sector to address the health problems of low-income and vulnerable

populations across more than 60 developing countries. PSI in India implements

the Social Marketing & Social Franchising Program as part of the Avahan program

funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The program aims to promote safer

sexual practices and STI treatment-seeking among male clients of sex workers in

project states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

PSI is presently recruiting for the position of Program Training Specialist -

STI Location: New Delhi (With an option to relocate to Project State Office

after 12 months)

The Program Training Specialist will work with the PSI/Avahan performance

Improvement Core Group (PICG) as a senior trainer and mentor for field medical

and communication teams. S/he would be responsible for designing, managing and

implementing training and support services of the project for field team members

who would further train and support over 1000 Health Care Providers (Key Clinic

franchise members) in 4 project states. S/he would provide technical inputs to

the program on STI management and serve as a resource person for updated

knowledge on STIs.

Our Requirement

* MBBS with a post graduation in Skin & VD, STI or a related field.

* Minimum 3 years experience in reproductive and sexual health,

preferably in STI treatment in males using Syndromic Management protocols.

Preference would be given to candidates with experience as a medical

trainer.

* Strong proficiency in writing curricula in English and willingness

to learn performance methodologies.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to work

in a team environment

* Willingness to travel to South India 50 - 60% of the time.
