Hi

what kind of log do you need to keep, I mean what information do you need to

have.

I have a very simple program which keeps track of your reading, time of

reading and dosage!

There's also a free web site you can sign up for and log all of your

diabetes and doctors visits ect. The web site is www.dialog.com I

think everyone should check it out, it's very nice.

Guess blind persons might have to use a typewriter or dictate their log to

an amanuensis.

I'm sorry but this is not an insurmountable problem.

I use my BrailleNote to keep a log and, as Mike said, clean up the

formatting a bit when I transfer it to the computer. If you know how to use

tables in Word it's even easier to make it nicely formatted for your doctor

or whoever else needs to see it.

Right. That's what I do. In fact, I put it on my Braille Lite and download

to the computer where I reformat and print it out. I think I keep a better

log than most of my doctor's diabetic patients do.

This would be further governmental intrusion into a person's life. Once a

person masters blood glucose level control, it is not necessary to keep a

daily log. One only needs to do charting when blood glucose levels do not

fit with what he knows should be achieved through carb counting and

medication dosing, even though the diabetic does frequentnt finger pricks

and blood glucose monitor readings to ascertain their situation. I do an

average of 6 finger pricks per day and some times more, since the only way I

can know for sure what my blood glucose level is by the use of a blood

glucose monitor or sugar monitor as some call it.
