I think that some doctors want you to take estrogen before surgery so that the lining is built up as much as possible.Thinking about it though, I am wonderig why because they also prefer surgery to be done before a cycle when the lining is at its thinnest, therefore less damage may be done.

I think waiting to get pregnant after AS treatment would not be a problem. It could only help improve your chances of getting your lining thicker. That of course is my own opinion.

Compare these with what you will be given. You will also see what time frame some members have had the balloon in place and also the IUD.

I'm afraid that there isn't a straightforward answer to when you will get a period. Some members got one immediately after finishing the hormones but others didn't even get one. Some, like Gwen, got one after stopping the hormones.

The endometrial lining can be measured at any time but I think that the best time to have one measured is when you have taken the hormones for at least 2 months. The first month, depending on when in your cycle you are, will not show much of a difference. The second hopefully will.

Make sure you remember to ask him/her what severity your ashermans is? Severe, moderate or mild.
