Guest guest
I reported in that the cottage cheese breakfast worked for me, to keep the morning spike under control. Now I can report that having egg beaters with cheese on a single piece of whole wheat toast (14 g.) also seems to work. One hour post BG reading is around 105. I guess I need to keep the carbs around 15 g. or less for breakfast. Will continue to experiment around these new parameters. Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions. By the way, today I had a nice lunch (a nice portion of cooked cabbage and other veggies with chicken), so at 5:00 when I usually have a small snack I was still feeling pretty satisfied. I decided to check my BG to see if I should consider a snack. It was 69. The amazing thing is, I didn't feel the least bit hypo at this level, which I take to mean that my body is really adjusting back to normal BG levels.
