Guest guest
Dear FORUM, The range of activities and outreach planned makes for inspiring reading. There was a call in Toronto to declare World AIDS Day a *global day of action on AIDS* - so perhaps the plans in Shillong is the first step for the rest of us to follow. We urgently need to inject a high dose of political activism into this annual event, across India and the globe, and hope this message helps motivate a unified and collaborative effort amongst all of us to make sure this World AIDS Day is confronting and challenging all sections of society about the apathetic response to HIV/AIDS - both at national and global levels. Would be great for networks in every state to begin discussions for developing their own unique and inspiring plans - we have 2 months to go! in solidarity, Aditi Sharma ActionAid International E-MAIL: <aditi.actionaid@...>
