Last Christmas, I realized I could no longer sing....I was hoarse and would squelch like as jackass in the middle of a stanza. I was singing this weekend as I was driving ...and I realized, MY VOICE IS BACK! I can sing again! Yeah baby! Helen Quote

I can sing again! Yeah That's excellent news Helen. I don't have a great voice but I LOVE to sing to myself at home. Even out in the street when I am in a particularly good mood much to the surprise of passersby. So I know what you are saying, this is truly wonderful news! Guest guest Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Hi, All, An interesting observation... I got my singing voice back better than ever now that I've started on HC. Back in the day, I studied opera in college & then moved to NYC to go to grad school & pursue a performing career. I had a BIG voice. It was always a little difficult for me, because I felt it took so much physical effort to control such a large voice. Well, for a heavenly host of reasons, I decided that performing wasn't the right life for me & I moved on. One of the many reasons - although not nearly the most important at the time - was that it was just so physically difficult. Fast forward to the present... This weekend I was singing with the radio, and suddenly I realized that singing was EFFORTLESS! Absolutely velvety smooth & flowing as easy as can be! I was amazed. Don't know if the HC took care of lingering bronchial issues or slight swelling of my vocal cords...I'm thinking not the vocal cords, because my speaking voice hasn't changed. Makes me wonder how long these problems have been going on! Anybody else have something surprising like this? Quote
Guest guest Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I have not heard this before, but I am not surprised! It is most likely a dual effect as low cortisol causes sinus problems and taking the HC is also allowing the thyroid to work properly nd thyroid definitely DOES affect the voice in a huge way. Half my life people have thought I was a man when I answered the phone, now my higher voice is back and I don;t sound nearly as gravely as I used to. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ Quote
Guest guest Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Wow this would be really nice if it happened for me! Whenever I go to an event where I have to speak loudly with my hubby, after about 20 or 30 minutes of this, I become hoarse and eventually lose my voice like laryngitis. It's a drag! angesc2001 wrote: Hi, All, An interesting observation... I got my singing voice back better than ever now that I've started on HC. --------------------------------- Cheap Talk?
