(04.01.06) On Saturday in Kathmandu, the director of the National AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Disease Control Center said about 15,000 children are orphaned by AIDS each year in Nepal. " The latest record states that till the end of 2005, the number of HIV positive was already 70,000, [of] which 22 percent were women in Nepal, " Shyam Sundar Mishra said at a workshop entitled " HIV/AIDS Prevention and Women Leadership.
