I had it done on a Friday and went back to work on a Monday but I didn't have a balloon inserted as some do. I won't tell you that it wasn't painful...I was pretty uncomfortable for a few days. But not miserable. By the 3rd day I was still sore and tired, but I could get around okay. I was on 4mg of estrogen after my first two surgeries and the only real side-effect I noticed was that I was HOT all the time....otherwise, they were okay. I did gain weight on them though...about 4-5 pounds each time. So that was an unpleasant side-effect. I was also on progesterone to try and induce a period a couple of times and that made me moody and gave me insomnia but I was only on it for 10 days at a time so it wasn't too bad. Sounds like you have found a good lawyer. Great that he is on the board of a hospital...he is bound to have some great connections. I am still waiting for the lawyer I called to call me back...he is a " friend of a friend " so I don't know him personally, but hope he will be a good guy. We'll see. As we move ahead with our cases, maybe our lawyers can share notes on good experts and such! I'll keep you up-to-date as well.
