Invitation to the Reporting HIV/AIDS Awards - Function

The Thomson Foundation invites you to The Reporting HIV/AIDS Awards Ceremony.

Amphitheatre, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi,

at 7 pm on 30th Nov, 2006

Six journalists (two each from print, radio and television) will be awarded for

their coverage of HIV/AIDS issues.

Also on the evening’s agenda:

• Release of CD “Keep the Promise” - compilation of eights songs on HIV/AIDS

issues

• Release of HIV/AIDS Media Manual India 2007

• Performance of HIV/AIDS-related songs by three bands – Thermal and a Quarter

(Bangalore), Soulmate (Shillong) and Skinny Alley (Kolkata)

REPORTING HIV/AIDS – THE EU-INDIA MEDIA AWARDS have been instituted under The

EU-India Media Initiative on HIV/AIDS, a project implemented by The Thomson

Foundation with the financial assistance of the European Union. The project

partners are: Commonwealth Broadcasting Association, University of Tampere,

Finland, Media Management Group for Literacy and Development and Indian Network

of People Living with HIV/AIDS (INP+).
