(Unfortunately, there are too many of those in my chosen profession...) His comment about having a difficult time finding someone to testify against him in your own town, however, is probably true (although he could have been MUCH more gentle in explaining this to you.) Your Mom had the right idea...finding a doctor outside of the state that will testify for you would be very important.....is this lawyer you are meeting with over the state line? (i.e. in another state?) If so, make sure the are licensed to practice in both states.....Hang in there....hope this attorney is more helpful.
