Looks like your Hashi's results were normal (less than 60) (thyroid

peroxidase antibodies, I think)...no rheumatoid factor, normal sed

rate...Graves, yes, positive. the Ft3 anf FT4 are not over the

ranges...so the Graves is seemingly not real active...Doesn;t look

terribly bad....

Your suppressed TSH is probably a result of the (slight) Graves and

the Armour, don't you think? I think the Isocort is a good idea and

I think it's good he's checking your ferritin. I've been tested for

both anitbodies..they do that...what was your question? the Hashi's

is normal.

Hi ,

Basically I was diagnosed with Hashi's and the dr thought the

antibodies for that was high (in his mind) but that the graves was

higher. My concern is that I have high antibodies for graves but

symptom wise for hashi's. I have almost no graves symptoms so how

can treat myself by symptoms when they are obviously not reliable.

Do you not think if I had graves that i could loose this weight I

have?????? Can not for the life if me and my muscles are almost

useless. My dr was also not happy with the use of the isocort as he

says that too will put on weight. I have done the strict

excercise/diet thing with no improvement with anything. Just kind of

confused at this point.

There seems to be so much confusion about Graves vs

hashi's...especially when the person seems to have hypo symptoms...I

really have never witnessed someone with Graves that wasn't loosing

weight rapidly and manifesting hyper signs...it just might be some

kind of lab error. I have seen people with Hashi's who had their

hyper weeks and months and one even had a short thyroid storm...I

don;t know enough about it to know if some people who have Hashi's

also have the Graves antibodies, which is what gives them the hyper

episodes. Isocort should absolutely not put on weight...Cortef might,

at first, but not isocort. Isocort is comparable to a supplement,

although it contains some cortisol. . Well, let's see what happens

when you're retested! and what others have to say.
