Now isn't that just interesting... I was in a roll over when driving

truck in the mid 80's. They had to do skull x-rays because of all the

stuff that I broke in the cab when it went rolling (long story... I

thought the heater for the animals in the back had caught fire and

unhooked the seat belt as it started to roll... I remodeled the interior

with my head and face. the guys that pulled me out also thought it was on

fire, so it wasn't my paranoia.... it was really the fire extinguisher

triggering and filling the cab with smoke like stuff).

They only thing they gave me to put on was to cover my uterus... and

little fanny pack sized thing... then everyone ran out of the room.

All I had was a bruised cheek bone from where I smashed the windshield...

(mom gave us calcium as babies.. we all had tough/strong bones!).

X-Rays and Thyroid

Hi EveryOne,

Went to the dentist a few days ago and as usual they wanted to do X-rays. I

said they could only take one X-ray of some teeth I am planning to have

permanent crowns placed on because I want to be sure all is OK before I do

that.

Turns out that on the 'lead aprons " they cover your body with during dental

X-rays there is a thyroid collar. It lifts up and covers your thyroid gland

and secures behind your neck. First time I had heard of it, or used it, in

all these years of going to dentists. It is folded down and I guess they

rarely bother with it.

Thought everyone should know about that and you may want to think over

getting " routine X-rays " . Use the thyroid collar if you must have an X-ray.

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev

tumors was substantiated when it was found that many individuals exposed to

atomic-bomb radiation or fallout also developed thyroid tumors in later

years. When these facts became known, these forms of radiation therapy were

of course discontinued.
