Guest guest
Hi, I saw my doctor for my second visit with him last week. This time he took blood tests for my T4, T3 and Tsh. I don't know the results yet. But, he still has me taking the same dose of 90mg of Armour. He also added T3, Cytomel this time. Does it take awhile to feel the effects of the Armour? I have been on it sinse Dec. 4th. I have been feeling better, but some things are still there. (Like my weight!) I guess that is why he added the Cytomel. What can that help with? I forgot to ask these things when I saw him. He also did a bone density test. Everything is normal except my hips are a little below normal. Is there anything to help that? Thanks!! Guest guest
Hey there Daena. You probably haven't felt a lot yet because you are on too low a dose. And I am always dumbfounded when a doc adds Cytomel when he could simply UP your Armour, allowing you to ALSO get the benefits of the T2, T1 and calicitonin BESIDES the extra T3!! You might want to consider that. I only began to notice a difference in my metabolism when I started on adrenal support, and also upped my Armour dose. When I was on 2 1/4 grain, I had fantastic energy, softer skin and hair, etc. But over time, it dawned on me that I wasn't on a high enough dose---I still had hair loss, the metabolism of a slug, and hard stool. Once I got up 2 3/4 grain, voila!! Not one pound was gained over Christmas!! Also, the bottom line to any weight loss is being honest with your eating habits.
