Guest guest
Hi! I tried the all protein diet/no carbs and I gained weight!! I read the book Eating Right 4 Your Type. It is all about how blood type determines what you should eat. I am an A+ so I am considered a vegitarian type eater...meats and proteins put weight on me. So that made all kinds of sense. My hubby and daughter are 0+ and they did wonderful on the Adkins diet..because 0's are meat eaters. Type B has the most food to choose from (not fair!) LOL If you think this book might help you (it did me) you can pick it up at your local library or just call your book store and ask if they carry it. The doc explains why over and over and it isn't hard to understand....very helpful. Thanks!! Patti Sue Re: Lo Carb I was diagnosed hypo a year and a half ago... (At the same time I found out I was hypo, I started low carb and have been exercising 3x week... BUT have ONLY lost 50 lbs in that 1.5 years!!!- grrrrrr how frustrating)I was on synthroid up until last week, after having become quite suspicious of it creating a " glass floor " with my weight loss. I am hoping the natural thyroid will allow me to finish what I started with this weight loss mission. Anyway, my point is, I think low carb is a very good way to lose. Most ppl are very successful on it. Good luck if you decide to do it. Let me know if you need any support! :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
50 pounds in 18 months is excellent. That is the proper speed to lose weight so that it stays gone. I lost 55 pounds in an 18 month period of time, but felt so crappy at that point, went to the doc who put me on Zoloft for anxiety disorder and I immediately gained 30 of it back in four months. Now that is a sucky weight record. Keep on plugging along. I know how great you feel at the lower weight. I can remember that feeling. I want it back. Guest guest
Just curious though how has your body fat % changed? I'm guessing that it's gotten a lot better in that time frame? Numbers on a scale aren't the whole big picture...if your body fat % has improved as well as your overall health you're doing a great job! Best to you! ) Re: Lo Carb > I was diagnosed hypo a year and a half ago... (At the same time I > found out I was hypo, I started low carb and have been exercising 3x > week...
