Guest guest
catarina, I didn't like it. I bought it and " living Well With Hypothyroidism " by Shomon at the same time. I strongly preferred LWWH. I am waiting for the Shames' book to come out because I suspect they will have a stronger stance on the use of natural vs. synthetics. in AZ Mom to Kayla(10), Jenna(8), (8), (6), (6), (5), Junie(3), Jillian (13 mo) and Mahlina(9.5mo) http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Arizona_Thyroid_Groups/ > It is interesting to read about many thyroid patients who felt better before the TSH test was invented, because they were often treated with Armour and the doctors based their treatment on symptoms rather than lab values. It simply cannot be a coincidence that when TSH testing became widespread and was allowed to influence treatment, many patients' health eroded and their quality of life was affected in a negative way. > > I suppose some of you have read doctor Arem's book. Guest guest
Hi, Catarina, I apologize for replaying so late to this, but I have been away from home for a week longer than I had planned. I would love to know when he completed his initial medical training and his residency in Endocrinology... While some people may have good results using synthetics, there are probably and equal or greater number of people who have enjoyed better results using Armour. His argument is " slanted " because the synthetics are what he chooses to use on patients. ly, I think he needs to go back and take more classes on physiology and get his head out of the Synthetics Cloud.
