Guest guest
I think there are a lot of doctors out there that are aware of the mito cocktail, and just don't put a lot of stock in it because it is not " proven " and it's " just " vitamins. There are still a lot of doctors that only treat with carnitine if there is a proven deficiency, and yet there are others that have seen mitochondrial patients benefit from carnitine regardless of deficiency. The part that makes it all so difficult is that what works for one may not work for another. Each situation is very individual. There is no doubt that my daughter has benefited from many of the supplements, but there are others that she cannot tolerate. I can't begin to explain why, and neither can most of her doctors. I think this is why there is so much controversy. We are on a new frontier here, and we are living the history of this disease. Fifty years from now, our grandchildren will know so much more about what works and what does not..... Jeannine
