Dear Forum Members,

Thanks a lot Gill and his book for a very urgently needed, still unusual

comment about the deep routed failure of AIDS Control and care programme. We are

experiencing this daily yet rudely suppressed by the money making section of our

society.

According to my knowledge and with concern, UN, Indian, West Bengal govt. are

least bothered about public interest. The govt., will listen UN lecture in five

star hotel and the beurocrats are for carry out govt. orders in a way to prove

their efficiency in paper. But they are considering only their self interest,

avoiding Citizen's actual need and culture.

The ongoing way of awareness programme conducted is completely against our

traditional culture by pointing out communities, who are poor and lining with

HIV. Always a try to avoid natural human self weaknesses in terms of AIDS.

So, today this has become " Community Immuno Deficieny Virus " instead of " HIV " .

So, our Hindu Religious Groups like Ramkrashna Mission or Bharat Sevasram

Sangha are invisible in this much needed Social Reconstruction.

Govt. or Puppet PLWH Groups (empowered/supported by donors/policy makers) have

no responsibility except surrendering towards UN policy (which is called Rights

based policy!). So, the govt don't bother to treat patients with HIV. Still no

medicines ( 1st line ARV or 2nd line ARV).

Lastly, the most sad thing is that HIV/AIDS is being accepted as an urgent

issue, with an utmost money sucking item than Human Rights based social welfare.
