You have to go on a strick gluten free diet and the bonus is that all of your migraines and stomach problems will go away - that makes it worth it. Work with the dietitian and get some books and educate yourself. Your future health depends on this. I went through all the same things you described and 4 years later, I am doiong great. It only took a few weeks until I felt much better.

Intro - LONG

Hi everyone. I have been watching this list for a little while. I figured that I would finally jump in and introduce myself.I was diagnosed with Celiac 4-5 months ago by a blood test and gluten elimination diet. I also was diagnosed with an acute hemoragic heliobactor gastritis. I have had problems on and off for 20 years. This past year I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I was in alot of pain and had trouble getting through the day. I think it was made worst by the Celiac. As the year went on, my migraines increased and my gasto problems got severe. I was miserable.I was having to basically treat myself because no one really believed me.But I got to the point that I couldn't go on. I went back to my gastro doc (one of many) and practically begged him to put me in the hospital. He finally saw that something was wrong.I was in pretty bad shape. I had lost about 40 pounds in the last year.He ran a bunch of tests.I got the diagnosis. I was happy that I knew what was going on but I really didn't want a disease that was not curable. He sent me to a dietician. I thought it would help. It did ,but I was in tears when Ileft. I had no idea how I was going to do this.I have been working at it since then. I am doing better. Not great but at least better.I have been having a lot of stomach pain and nausea, some migraines. I have not been able to gain any weight.I know that this is long, but I was hoping that one of you had a similiar experience and/or any advice. Thanks, Bethbsblevins@...
