Guest guest
I am 5'3 and need to lose 40 pounds as well . I also have hypoglycemia which does kick in if I go too long without eating. I am totally new to the SB diet so I am unable to answer your question. I have been very successful at losing weight on other low carb plans however so I would love a hypoglycemic buddy to keep in touch with. I've been having a lot of symptoms lately that caused me to realize I need to change my eating, that is why I am seeking out South Beach. I have the terrible habit of becoming very involved in my work and not eating for many many hours, basically keeping my body in a continous fasting situation (quite unintentionally). In fact, I have done that again right now so I am headed to eat. Looking forward to responses from others with this situation. One question for you . When your blood sugar drops do you notice this in your hands and feet? Thanks, Chantelle Hi, I am new to the SB diet and have not bought the book yet or started the diet yet. I was wondering if it is as hard as the Atkins. I tried it a few times and got really sick. I have hypoglycemia and without the fruit and carbs, my sugar will bottam out pretty quick. Has anyone else had this problem and how did they deal with it? I tried taking magnisium and other supplements but that didn't seem to help. I am 5'6 and weigh 178 pounds. I want to lose about 40 pounds. Any suggestions befoer I get started? Thanks, Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones-and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats.
