I think it's coincidence too, but I mostly sleep on my right side and

my largest fibroids are on the right side, much much more prominent

than (at least a couple of) smaller fibroids on the left side. If is

possible that the right side fibroids were getting better blood flow

because of the way I sleep. It would be interesting to do at least a

straw poll on the topic.

Also I read that sleeping on your tummy is recommended for uterine

shrinkage after childbirth. Does this mean we fibroid women should

try it (if we can)? Not good for the neck or the spine, however

For 2 months after UAE I could not lie on my left side at all. It

became very painful. Got easier during the third month.

Hi Deb, I hear you here what you have describe here is what I feel

also. My fibroid is huge it is over 20 cms, my uterus is a size of a

6 month pregnancy and when I lay on my back in bed I look like I am

pregnant and I hate it. My fibroid is mostly to the right side to and

I can feel the top of it just above my belly button. Now I am having

people ask me when I am expecting too, so I know this is more

noticable now than a year ago. I can't even fit into my jeans anymore

before christmas I could do them up but they brother me to much, so I

didn't wear them but now I can't even do them up anymore.

> I know this probably sounds like a silly question but when I lay

down I can totally feel the outline of my fibroid and its so big. My

stomach sticks out as if I were 6 months pregnant. Except for a

small area on my left side the fibroid covers from hip bone to almost

hip bone and up to my bellie button and since it sticks out so much I

can feel the top of it. Do any of you feel the same thing? I also

can't do sit ups anymore. I get terrible cramps, like you get in

your calves. I am deciding on what to do but am just curious if

anyone else has the same thing. I had a CT done and they told me the

fibroid was 12cm by 12 cm. i think it has grown since then because i

couldn't feel it the way i do now.
