My son, dx: autism, 4.5yr, has shown remarkable improvement on the

antibiotic zithromax. He also took zithromax about a year ago and

coincidentally he went from being nonverbal to identifying objects in

one day. I stored the information for future reference and sure

enough this round of zithromax has been remarkable too. Amazingly he

shows no regression after the antibiotic is over. Also when on the

antibiotic his stools have been completely firm(normally loose). I

have searched the archives for this issue and found one other family

with this revelation. I'm wondering if it is safe to use this

antibiotic in a low dose form? Should we do some sort of stool check

for bacteria? We are chelating with ALA. Should we do both? Should

he take probiotic at the same time? Any insights would be greatly

appreciated. Sally
