Guest guest
I'm glad to hear size of wedding has nothing to do with longevity! We were planning a family only very small backyard ceremony before. Now it may be a very small, witnesses and couple only, backyard ceremony. So, you can see through my calm, relaxed description of what's going on in our lives??!! You know me too well, . Can you imagine how my gut is feeling? I guess you can. Actually, one of my two sisters has taken the initiative to have our Mom's surgery done in her city. She prevented me from even asking my Cardiac surgeon buddies about doing it here. I know a few of the best guys in the local Heart Institute who do everything from valves and bypasses to transplants. No way. My sister wanted Mom in her town. Being the reasonable older brother, I didn't argue with her. I'm sure all will go well. I'm sure that my MIL will recover well. It's tough when you become " parents " to your parents. I've taken care of the parents of a few of my colleagues. A really tough assignment. One of the toughest in medicine. Especially in the field I work in, where you know their lives have significant limitations and potentially the end will come soon. And has. Thanks both of you, for the kind words. Much appreciated.
