Guest guest
He has eaten tomatos and had other tomato containing products with no problem while on this GF diet.. This was the first try with Ragu though. I really dont think it's an allergy to citrus... > Could there also be a citrus allergy? > I had the same problem with Ragu. > Within a month I tried Ragu (had reaction), other gf sauce (had reaction), > homemade tomato sauce (had reaction). > Tomatoes were the one common ingrediant. > Further reactions also occured with orange juice. > I then did some investigating and read of other celiacs who had the same > reaction to citrus. > I now avoid all citrus products. >
Guest guest
Before my 3 year old daughter was dx with Celiac she went though blood tests to determine if she had any allergies causing her problems. They told us tomatos. Later, while standing in the recovery room from the Celiac biopsy, the Doctor told us -without us asking- that she probably wasn't allergic to tomatos. Sorry to say I never thought to ask why he knew then that the allergy tests were wrong but she isn't allergic to them. Maybe something else in the Rago sauce??? Or something else entirely? Good luck! > > Could there also be a citrus allergy? > > I had the same problem with Ragu. > > Within a month I tried Ragu (had reaction), other gf sauce (had > reaction), > > homemade tomato sauce (had reaction). > > Tomatoes were the one common ingrediant. > > Further reactions also occured with orange juice. > > I then did some investigating and read of other celiacs who had the same > > reaction to citrus. > > I now avoid all citrus products. > >
