Guest guest
[Moderators note: A review copy of the article " Trends in HIV-1 in young adults in south India from 2000 to 2004: a prevalence study " by R. Kumar, P. Jha, P.Arora et al from the International Studies of HIV/AIDS (ISHA) group is available from the moderator] Hi all, I have read a few comments on the Lancet article on India's Declining Prevalence on AIDS- INDIA e FORUM -- both for and against. I am bringing this issue back to this forum to have more discussion. I am throwing in some brain storming points. Any comments, opinions and information is helpful to know what is really going on: 1) Is this study completely credible and impartial? 2) On basis of this study, can we say that prevalence in India is declining? 3) How should we recieve this study- a guide for our future approach? 4) Is there any information about this study that is not reflected in the very wide international coverage of it? 5) Does this study has any implications that HIV/AIDS prevelance rate can be isolated from an effective, effecient, accessible, and affordable basic health care system?
