Hey! I'm not quite that old!

Sometimes I machine will give two different readings. For example, I

can

take it and it will say 120 and a minute later it might say 100. So you

really don't know which reading to believe. Rw

lifescan meters do not have this problem. That is where they are a step

ahead of the others including acucheck. www.lifescan.com

I can literally take my sugar while my meter is on the counter top above the

dish washer while it is on dry mode. The counter is hot to the touch and the

meter is not effected by it at all.

lifescan meters do not have this problem. That is where they are a step

ahead of the others including acucheck. www.lifescan.com

there is a 10% error on any meter but really, 10 points is not that much

IMO.

there is a 10% error on any meter but really, 10 points is not that much

I hope they put that I the new Voice Mate that is supposed to come out next

year. (which isn't that far away!)

I wonder, . My diabetic educator said the One Touch is temperature

sensitive-it just doesn't tell you and she said the glucose level you get

when the machine is too hot or too cold can be inaccurate.

I tested it on the other counter (room temp) afterwards and got near the

same reading. I use a profile so not certain if all lifescan meters are that

reliabel or not but the profile certainly is.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of a blood glucose machine for the

blind that does not use finger sticks as I discuvered I also have another

problem I need tosee a specialist about what my doctor calls raynone's

sindrome. witch makes it hard to git blood from a stick. this bothers me

more than dioloses sence I used my hands to earn a living for forty years.

would appreciate any information please. friends wayne
