Guest guest
Debbie, (and group) I am going to be honest and mind you, this is just my experience...ok?? Everyone has a different outcome.....every case is different. The soul shaking " Brain Pain " did go away w/ surgery, thank God! But, in my case....there was alot of nerve damage done...that does not mean it would be the same for everyone. My symptoms are worse during a HA or up to about 6 hrs. prior. My Neuro(grrrrrrrr....that man has an evil personality) to a HA......he laughed and said that there were " just auras " and my HAs must be migraines.....I never went back to him. I am going to throw this out there too, see if anyone else has experienced this.....my ears...mostly R...or both...during a HA or up to a day after one....they/it will leak fluid...not wax...clear..sometimes clear/pinkish. I have woke up and rolled over and left a wet spot (nooooooo....get your minds outta the gutter!) on my pillow about the size of maybe a lemon.(?) My MD did actually see it leak, not from the eardrum but from someplace in the ear canal....but has " never heard of a CSF leak from an ear. " so the HMO butt kissing Dr. does nothing. I know it's possible and I know what " markers " that would have to be present in a sample to be positive for CSF....I have even thought about calling a few of the labs and seeing if I pay for the test, if I could get one without the Dr.? OK...rambling...sorry.....Baack to the original Q. There are things I am more that thrilled that did go away and and I do have quality of life...before surg. I didn't think I had any! So, all the little mis-spoken words, dyslexic writing/typing, memory stuff, tripping on a spec of dust, etc..etc...etc..is much better than where I was and what I had!! My only regret was not putting a firecracker under my Ins. Co.s butt to get established with Dr. Frim for surg. and after care. The Drs. here......*shaking head* are just too damn lazy to open a book or two to learn about it all. That felt good... Now, I'll go.....
