Dear Friends,

Positive People in an effort to strengthen solidarity amongst NGOs and like

minded persons in organizing the following two events in January 2006.

1. A meeting on 12th January 2006 at 2.30 p.m. at the Conference Hall, Don

Bosco, Panaji, Goa, to discuss the Goa Government's declaration on " Mandatory

Pre-Marital Testing for HIV Infection " . Since a preliminary discussion has

already taken place on this issues, in the workshop organized by Voluntary

Health Association of Goa last month, we would like to take it further, by

drawing up a specific agenda and consider framing a memorandum to be submitted

to the Government.

We will also carry forward the discussion regarding the transmission of HIV

through Extra-Marital sex, which seems to be a serious problem in Goa.

Please come prepared with your thoughts and suggestion.

2. In keeping with the objectives of empowering PLHA's (Person Living with

HIV/AIDS) with the right to live with dignity and free from Stigma and

Discrimination, we will be organizing a " Mela " on 28th January 2006 at the Azad

Maidan, Panjim Goa, from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. The Mela will be an occasion for

PLHA's and friends, to express themselves through Song, Dance, Skits and other

art forms.

We would like to invite you and friends associated with your group, to actively

participate in this events.

You are welcome to display/sell items made by your organization/Support Groups.

Kindly confirm your participation for the meeting at Don Bosco and the Mela by
