Guest guest
, I feel really bad for you about the way your boss spoke. It was hugely insensitive. The only thing I can say in her defense is that everyone has his own definition of " fat " in reference to his own body. I don't know what your relationship with your boss is, but she may see beyond your weight, and value for the person you are. I hope that's the case. Two other tips I have: I live alone and eat many meals by myself. I've used those meals as an opportunity to slow my eating way down, and focus not just on taste, but on how I feel when the swallowed food reaches my stomach. That has helped a lot with determining when I've had enough. Another tip: Not all of us have the same opportunities for exercise. One leg exercise my Dr. recommended was simply to stretch your leg out straight while sitting in a chair and hold it for a count of 10. Alternate legs. This works muscles from your thighs up through your butt and into the lower back. Also, build motion into your day. Don't look for a close parking spot, choose the one at the back of the lot, etc. Feel good about small successes. Have a good day everyone!
